Really like how cool and simple of a western game this is! Wasn't able to beat it but it was really interesting trying to be tactical and be wary of how much bullets you both get and use. Keep on making games~!
A downloadable game for Windows
EDIT: I decided to continue the development of this game! I will make a new game based on this prototype. It will be way bigger and a complete, commercial game. I also have a new name for this upcoming game. It will be called "Colt Canyon"! Stay tuned.
Your girl was kidnapped by bandits, now it's on you to save her.
Use your old revolver and shoot your way through the wild west.
WASD - Move
Mouse - Aim and Shoot
R - Reload
E - Interact or destroy destructible objects
M - Mute Sounds
This game prototype was made for an assignment in Game Design at the Cologne Game Lab.
Contact the developer: firstname.lastname@example.org
It's a prototype and has no options menu, but there is a settings.ini located
in %localappdata%/Help_Retrific where you can toggle fullscreen, change graphical quality and even rebind your keys if you know which codes to use.
Since it's a just 4 fun prototype you also have the option to just have fun:
There are some cheats that I used for debugging still in the game. Toggle them with F1-F6 ;) In 1.0.2 F7 and F8 works too, to spawn enemies and barrels
If you like what you see, please give me a follow on twitter, donate when downloading and write a comment :)
Btw. you're also free to record gameplay and make reviews, let's plays or whatever.
- Added HUD Scale Option in settings .ini
- Added DirectX Check at start of game
- Fixed some Camera issues
- Moved footprint fadeout setting in .ini
- Fixed reinforcement_amount settings in .ini
- Fixed Movement Speeds
- Added Tumbleweed
- Added additional options in settings.ini
- Melee destroys destructible objects faster

Awesome Video! Had much fun watching it and some of your feedback was taken into account for the last updates.
Played it (multiple times) and made a video. I hope you'll get to expand it because it's a quite polished prototype. It would be great if you could get something from dead enemies. Probably bullets since health is... unrealistic.
